Sam Alden Lecture

Cartoonist and illustrator Sam Alden has received two Ignatz awards and has released one book, Never Happened Again. Currently working in LA with Cartoon Network, Alden will provide a lecture for the public at Whitman College on Saturday, November 7th at 4:00 pm.

A book signing will follow the lecture and the Sheehan gallery will be open to the public.

Whitman College's Sheehan gallery features a semester long exhibit, "Seeing Stories," which includes many internationally recognized graphic author/artists such as Alison Bechdel, Craig Thompson, Joe Sacco, Chris Ware, Lynda Barry, Shimura Takako, Neil Gaiman, R. Crumb, and Emily Carroll as well as the collaborative work of French artists Regis Loisel & Jean-Louis Tripp in "Magasin Generale." Additionally the exhibit features 16 "Colonial Comics" artists, telling snippets of American history through drawing.
