SUPPORTING THE ARTSIN WALLA WALLA
August 18 - 20, 2017
Class size limited to 16 students (all ages welcome)
Cost: $300/members, $310/non-members
Todd Telander of Walla Walla, Washington has worked as a professional artist for nearly thirty years and has been teaching fine art classes privately for the last six. Trained as a scientific illustrator at the University of California, Santa Cruz, Telander is largely self-taught in the fine arts. Well versed in all aspects of painting, he currently focuses on landscape painting, both outdoors (en plein air) and in the studio. In his classes, he stresses intelligent composition, solid shapes of value and color, and a convincing sense of atmosphere and light.
This workshop will include demonstrations and brief lectures, but will focus on time for you to paint both in and out of the studio with the instructor giving plenty of one-on-one feedback throughout the day. At the end, we will have a chance to share out work with a (friendly) group critique. Mr. Telander works and demonstrates in oil, but students are welcome to work in any medium they wish.
Supplies list available at the Gallery.
Please register by August 9.
