Heads, Faces, and Vases a is a solo exhibition of ceramic sculpture by Seattle-based artist Andrew Hoeppner.  The exhibition explores ideas of identity and the concept of the self-portrait – an artistic format that has deep roots in tradition.   

“My approach to making art is one that continuously evolves and redefines itself.  The work is cyclical in nature as it is a direct reflection of my interests and experiences.  Making, play, impulse, humor, and the constant battle of success and failure are the threads that connect each body of work. 

I use ceramics to explore the physicality of my relationship to the world, as an offering of myself, and how I co-exist daily.”
