An evening with renowned artist Kiki Smith. Smith will lecture about her extensive art career, spanning over 40 years of sculptures, drawings, and prints. Smith's work is in numerous prominent collections including the Museum of Modern Art, Walker Art Center, Whitney Museum of American Art, Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles. Smith lives and works in New York City, however for the past several years she has had a connection to Walla Walla through her work with the Walla Walla Foundry. This event is co-sponsored by the Walla Walla Foundry and Whitman College, with funding from the Robert and Mabel Groseclose Endowed Lecture Fund at Whitman College. This event is free and open to the public.
