Whitman Art Department Opening Reception: The Political Print 1.0

Please join us for the opening reception of The Political Print 1.0, featuring student work from ART170, 270, 370 Beginning, Intermediate, and Advanced Printmaking (Professor Nicole Pietrantoni's classes), ARTH 103a Introduction to Art History and Visual Culture Studies (Professor Lisa Uddin's class), and contributing Whitman Staff and Faculty 

This exhibition combines the student, staff, and faculty work of making and thinking about political prints, with the display of recently acquired work from La Escuela de Cultura Popular Revolucionaria Mártires de 68, and the CultureStrike and Justseeds Artists’ Cooperatives. Plus a printing demonstration with free art!

If you are curious about creative, community-facing responses to state oppression, climate change, and social and environmental injustice, this is not to be missed.
