Paint Walla Walla, hosted by Carnegie Picture Lab, is an annual event inspired by Margaret Walters that offers 25 artists the chance to paint at various picturesque locations around Walla Walla. At the end of the 4 day en plein air painting sessions, artists are invited to show and sell their work on Friday, September 21, at an artist reception, with 20% of sales benefiting Carnegie Picture Lab's elementary art education programs.

Painting sessions will be held on Monday and Tuesday, September 10-11, followed by Monday and Tuesday, September 17-18.

Painting sites include;

  • Tim Theriac and Gene Dixon's property on Blackbird Bend
  • Karen and Roger Kinder's on New Haven Lane
  • Laura Minnick and Mike Smith's property on Middle Waitsburg Rd.
  • Spring Creek Farm on Old  Milton-Freewater Highway
Reaching more than 4,000 students in 13 area schools, Carnegie Picture Lab nourishes creativity by supporting and enhancing art education for elementary school children in the Walla Walla Valley.
