Event Details
Crow’s Shadow Institute of the Arts (CSIA) is pleased to host Nixya’awii Community School Student Print Exhibition. This exhibition will showcase the prints produced by a select group of students from the Nixya’awii Community School while working at the Crow's Shadow studio over the past year under the direction of CSIA Master Printer, Judith Baumann. The exhibiting printmaking students are: Ermia Butler, Dancing Star Leighton, EllaMae Looney, Cloe McMichael, Kylie Mountainchief, and Tyanna Van Pelt. The students have been visiting once a week and building their knowledge of printmaking, this year making multi-color linocuts and silkscreen prints.
The exhibition can also be viewed during Crow’s Shadow’s regular hours, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, until the show closes on June 29th. The Crow’s Shadow gallery is free to visit and open to the public. This is the fourth year of this collaborative project; it is funded in part by the Oregon Arts Commission Art Builds Communities fund, and through contributions to Crow’s Shadow general operating fund, either by direct donation or by print purchases.
Free and open to the public
Prints will be available for all sales and proceeds go directly to the student artists!
