Join us at The Liberty Theater for the MANHATTAN SHORT Film Festival, from September 27 through October 2. Only five theaters in Washington State are hosting this international film festival, and we are one of them. This film is approximately two hours long, and includes short film entries from nine different countries. At the end of the film, you become an instant film critic and vote on your favorite, along with viewers in over 300 cities spanning six continents.
The Nine MANHATTAN SHORT finalists hail from eight countries with films from Austria, Canada, Germany, Hungary, Kosovo, New Zealand, USA, and two films from the United Kingdom. These Final Nine short films represent the best short films from among 1,565 submissions from 73 countries received by MANHATTTAN SHORT for 2018, testimony to the enduring vibrancy and creativity of short films. This year’s Final Nine represent an extraordinary range of film genres that includes intimate dramas; fast-paced animation; spine-tingling tales; a World War II epic; a film shot entirely underwater and comedy as part of the MANHATTAN SHORT program.
