Women In Art

A Gallery at DAMA

Artist Reception: Friday, 5-7 PM
Gallery Open: Friday to Sunday

At DAMA, life, like art and wine, is about the journey, about being part of a bigger force that brings the complexities of life into perspective. As an all-women owned winery and an ardent lover of art, DAMA is intrigued by how artists and their identities as women evolve throughout their own personal journeys.

Join us for a weekend of art and reflection. Our five, brilliant women artists will share their own journeys and insights, starting on Friday with an artist reception from 5-7 PM. The gallery will be open Friday through Sunday, giving you ample time to sip some wine and admire some amazing art. Come prepared to fall in love with a piece -- all artwork will be available for purchase.

Our Artists: From Maia Watkins, a Whitman college student inspired by social justice, to Tricia Harding, a local artist in love with texture and organic materials and former president of Art Walla, to Lisa Rasmussen, department coordinator and professor of art at Walla Walla Community College, to mother-daughter pair Linden How, a multimedia artist from Portland, and Susan How, a local photographer. Each artist brings her unique reflections on what it means to be a woman in art.
