Blackbeard the Pirate (Missoula Children's Theatre) @ Little Theatre of Walla Walla

Missoula Children's Theatre presents "Blackbeard the Pirate" at The Little Theatre of Walla Walla on Friday, June 29 at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday, June 30 at 3:00 p.m. and again at 5:30 p.m. The cast is comprised of local students, grades 1 through 12. Admission is $5. 

What starts as a lazy day at the beach, quickly turns into mystery and adventure when the search for Blackbeard’s treasure begins! Tales both past and present launch a group of Beach Bums to action in search of untold riches. Before our tale is told, a cast of colorful characters begin to reveal the secrets of Blackbeard’s amazing treasure.

"Blackbeard the Pirate" is made possible through collaboration between The Little Theatre of Walla Walla and Missoula Children's Theatre and with the support of the Clara and Art Bald Trust. The Missoula Children's Theatre (MCT), the nation’s largest touring children’s theatre, has been touring extensively for more than 40 years from Montana to Japan, and will visit nearly 1,200 communities this year with up to 44 teams of Tour Actor/Directors. A tour team arrives in a given town with a set, lights, costumes, props and make-up, everything it takes to put on a play...except the cast. The team holds an open audition and casts 50-60 local students to perform in the production. The show is rehearsed throughout the week and public performances are presented that weekend. MCT's mission is the development of lifeskills in children through participation in the performing arts.
