Art Show to Benefit ArtWalla’s Dan Dunn Memorial Grant

CAVU Cellars Tasting Room

December 2019 through January 2020

In February 2017, CAVU Cellars hosted a Memorial Art Show for local artist Dan Dunn. Dan had shown in our art gallery in May 2015, where he soon became one of our favorite people. Sadly, Dan died May 13, 2016, and following his death we held a Memorial Art Show here at CAVU Cellars featuring many of his remaining paintings. Proceeds from sales were donated to ArtWalla.

ArtWalla took that donation and created two Dan Dunn Memorial Grants of up to $250 each. In support of local creatives, emerging artists, and ambitious projects, ArtWalla encourages artists or artist groups to apply for this funding for their personal projects. Applying for the grant is easy—details can be found on the ArtWalla website. 

Although it is too late to apply for this year’s grants (applications were to be submitted by November 18, 2019), there is always next year. And to support that, CAVU is having a small art show in the tasting room December 2019 through January 2020, proceeds from which will be donated to ArtWalla to help fund next year’s grants. At least one painting will be from Karen Richmond’s personal collection of Dan’s work, and other works will be donated to the show by local artists.
