CAVU Cellars November 2020 Art Show
Featuring Artists Randy Klassen, Joyce Klassen, Ralph Trethewey, and Jeff Warner
CAVU Cellars is delighted to welcome back local artists Randy and Joyce Klassen. Randy and Joyce will be joined for this show by Ralph Trethewey and Jeff Warner. The show will run from November 4th through November 30th.
Randy specializes in watercolor realism and painting “all things Walla Walla.” He has always been one of our favorite artists, as he manages to capture a gentleness and often, a time gone by, that tugs at our heartstrings. Joyce began working in watercolor, then added collages, designing and making jewelry and greeting cards, encaustic painting, acrylic pours, and now fabric art to her creative endeavors.
Ralph, new to CAVU Cellars, is an artist and sculptor, who has been producing art in two and three dimensions for over 40 years. In his artist statement, he says he works to awaken positive imagination through realism, symbolism, and impressionism. For Ralph, experimentation in different mediums and processes is as fulfilling as the finished works.
Jeff is CAVU’s first Tee shirt artist. Jeff became interested in cartoon style and somewhat exaggerated superhero art style very early in life...say about three...when he received his first Batman and Superman comic books. From that time on, his mother would find replicas of these characters drawn on walls, paper, clothing, his skin and even the corner in which he was standing because of such offenses. He began his Tee shirt drawings mostly for his own use until people began to stop him and ask where he bought them. And the rest, as they say, “is history.”
