Rock Camp - Session 2

The Walla Walla Symphony is thrilled to present an annual, free Rock and Roll Camp each summer.  This camp has taken place since 2009 and serves 50 teens in grades 7 - 12 each year.

ROCK CAMP 2021

The Walla Walla Symphony, Walla Walla Public Schools, and Walla Walla Music Organization are pleased to present two free,1-week performance camps designed to give its participants the experience of preparing and producing a Rock ’n’ Roll concert.

CONCEPT: Rock Camp 2021 will consist of two free, 1-week intensive music experience designed to provide interaction between young musicians and professional musicians in a real-life production setting. Some campers will work together as a band, choose a band name, select and arrange songs, write and record music, and learn how to promote their group. Other campers work together on the production side of music such as video and other multimedia and marketing, merchandise, and the design and setup of stage and sound equipment. The experience will culminate with a free live concert performance for friends, family, and the community to see what Walla Walla’s future Rock ‘n ’Rollers will look and sound like.

CAMPERS: Rock Camp is open to students entering grades 7-12. Students participating should want to learn more about playing an instrument and/or singing. All Instruments are welcome, no experience necessary! Repeat campers are encouraged and welcomed.
