Summer Stage Festival: Rosie Cerquone and Co.

  • 08 Aug 2021
  • 1:00 PM

The Walla Walla Summer Stage Festival includes performances by Rosie Cerquone and Co. in the Electric Lounge at Gesa Power House Theatre on Saturday, August 7 at 2:00 p.m. and Sunday, August 8 at 1:00 p.m.

Rosie Cerquone and Co. is a celebration of percussion, songwriting, and modern music performance. Rosie is a classically trained percussionist that never got over her wannabe pop star phase–so she decided to combine her two dreams into a genre she calls “pop percussion.” With the help of project collaborator and drummer, Haydn Halsted, they present Rosie’s intricate and honest melodies to listeners through voice, vibraphone, drums, and electronics.

Rosie’s music explores stories of loss, love (for others and yourself), and self-discovery. There will be sadness and silence, followed by beating drums and joyful harmonies, because that’s what life is, right? The highs and lows, the ebb and flow. You can’t have one without the other, and you’ll experience it all with Rosie Cerquone and Co.

In January 2021, Rosie released her self-produced debut album, the how & the why. Musical influences include jazz, indie rock, and pop. Lyrically, her songs explore everything from loss to self discovery to empowerment. Rosie Cerquone and Co. creates a sonic experience full of reflection and joy.

General admission tickets ($15) are available online or by calling the box office at 509-529-6500. Click here to view the full Walla Walla Summer Stage Festival schedule!
