Exquisite Gorge Project 2 Series: Artist Talk with Kristy Kún

Join ArtWalla for a zoom presentation with our partnering artist, Kristy Kún, on May 14th. Kristy will join us live from her Ashland, OR studio to share concepts and challenges for her three dimensional fiber sculpture depicting a section of the Columbia River at the Snake River Confluence near Walla Walla. The finished sculpture will be exhibited in Walla Walla this July, before the it moves to the Maryhill Museum of Art to join with ten other sculptures, becoming part of a large, 66-foot flowing sculpture with the Columbia River as a central element.

 

About Kristy:
Kristy Kún is a Southern Oregon-based fiber artist who, having studied engineering and after a career as a woodworker, has turned her focus to sculptural compositions in handmade felt.
