ARTIST STUDY: FRIDA KAHLO, FRUIT STILL LIFE PAINTING

Channel the iconic Mexican painter Frida Kahlo and paint a colorful arrangement of delicious, summery fruits! We will study Kahlo’s iconic painting style, noting her love of nature and bold colors. Frida Kahlo (1907-1954, only 47 years) embodied courage and resilience, and sought a life of color and art. Painting made her the happiest!

In this instructor-led class, we will practice color mixing with bright & saturated gouache paint, drawing/painting with realism, and creating a pleasing, balanced composition.

Gouache paint on 11x14” watercolor paper. All supplies included.
