Originally
created in 1992 as the Blue Mountain Arts Alliance, we chose
ArtWalla as our new name in 2005. Our work centers around the
acquisition of public
art and education about that art.
Support comes from memberships, donations, partnerships with
local non-profit groups, corporate sponsors, fund-raising events,
bronze collection sales, and grants from local, regional, and
national foundations and trusts. Our volunteer Board of Directors
includes artists, business owners, and professionals. The work
of the organization is mainly performed by our base of dedicated
volunteers, led by Director Jeana C. Garske.
