Aaron Hazel is a full-time artist based out of Kirkland, Washington. Graduating from Whitman College where he played basketball, his painting style has been remarked to have an "athletic" quality to it: free, loose and energetic. Hazel is an avid football fan, as his paintings seek to embody the movement, flare and energy of the game. His paintings eventually captured the attention of the Seahawks players themselves, as many of them are his customers. When not painting sports-related subject matter, Hazel likes to paint landscapes that focus on open settings with large sky masses. A native of Boise, Idaho, Hazel frequently travels back to work as an understudy to landscape Impressionist painted Robert Moore. Always seeking to improve, expand, and evolve, Hazel was thrilled to come back to Walla Walla to display his unique combination of work.
