Filmed over a 10-year period, "Dryland" profiles two young best friends who strive to win the Lind (Washington) Combine Demolition Derby, save their threatened town, and preserve the legacy of their fourth-generation wheat farms. Bittersweet and exuberant, "Dryland" ultimately champions hope for sustainable agriculture and strong rural communities, in a celebration of hard work and harder play—fueled by ingenuity, heart…and axle grease.
