This refreshing epic of American boyhood will be welcome to audiences of grown ups as well as young people as DeSales Catholic High School presents Mark Twain’s classic, Tom Sawyer. The familiar characters and scenes of the book are well-handled and properly condensed in order to give a dramatic point to the whole play. This refreshing epic of American boyhood will be welcome to young and old . This is a play about young people who are not yet hopeless about buried decency in the midst of struggle. All the familiar characters of Tom, Huck, Aunt Polly, Becky Thatcher and the notorious Injun Joe are all presented with honesty and heart. The cast includes Dominic Keene in the title role, Jackson Dominguez as Huck Finn, Emily Hamada as Aunt Polly, Eddie Rodriguez as Walter Potter, Malory Elmenhurst as Mary Rogers, Juston Kimball as Muff Potter, Maddy Thomas as Widow Douglas and Matt Baumgart as Injun Joe. Additionally over 25 other actors round out the ensemble cast.
Performances will be held at The Little Theatre of Walla Walla. Performances are December 8 and 9 at 7:30 PM, and December 10 at 2pm.
